When installing a USB device you may encounter the following error: "The class installer registry entry is invalid"

This error can occur if the driver install has been run in compatibility mode.
Firstly you must uninstall the DK2 USB device from device manager.
On Windows Vista this can be accessed via the Windows Control Panel. From 'Control Panel Home' select 'Hardware and Sound'

then 'Device Manager'

Find the DK2 USB entry (this may be under DESkey, or Other Devices), right click it and select uninstall
Remove the DK2 USB from the system
Next, open the Registry Editor by running regedit from the Start Menu.

Find and delete the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{364212FF-E2D
8-452d-8282-897C09B79863}
Additionally, you must clear the compatibility mode flag on the driver install, otherwise the problem will be reproduced when the install is run again.
To do this you should bring up the properties menu on the driver install file:

Next clear the compatibility mode flag:

The re run the driver install, and when complete, re-insert the DK2 USB.
